Heritage by Night – An Evening Museum Experience

Discover the museum in a whole new light with Heritage by Night, a specially curated self-guided evening tour.

Duration: About 1.5 hours
Timings: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Starting from Sunday, 11 September 2026, the tour will be held on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) through May 2027 (subject to change depending on the monsoon).

Enjoy a peaceful walk through beautifully illuminated spaces and admire the elegance of vernacular architecture after dusk.

Entry Fee:

Adults : ₹. 300.00 per head  -  

***Students: ₹. 150/- per head - ID is mandatory. No discounts without ID proof. (Up to Under Graduates)

Children from 6 years to 12 years: ₹. 50/- per head

Free Entry for children up to 5 years.

***Please Note: Discounts are available  only for the students up to Under Graduates . No discounts for any other category whatsoever.

Guided Tours
  • We are delighted to offer guided tours upon request, subject to the following guidelines:
  • Weekly Closed Day: Please note that the heritage site is closed every Monday for weekly maintenance.
  • Group Requirements: Guided Tours are conducted exclusively for groups of 5 or more visitors.
  • Timing & Punctuality: Guided tours take place during the morning hours and begin promptly at 10:00 AM. We kindly request you to arrive at the reception area 10 minutes prior to the start time. To ensure a seamless experience for all guests, late arrivals will need to join the ongoing tour midway, as our guides are unable to backtrack to missed areas.
  • Tour Duration: Tours typically  2 1/2 hours. It could be extended by another 15 minutes to accommodate a gentler pace depending on the group's needs, especially when senior citizens are visiting.
  • Accessibility Vehicle: Based on the museum's policy, here are the key rules regarding the battery-operated electric vehicle service:
  • • Cost: It charges an additional fee of ₹.100/- per head.
  • • Priority: Senior citizens and individuals with walking difficulties receive exceptional priority.
  • • Availability: The vehicle operates strictly on a First Come... First Serve basis with maximum 5 seats only.
  • • Authority Rights: The museum management reserves the all the rights to deny or divert the vehicle at any time to prioritize those who need it most.

 Unguided Tours
This tour is presently offered by default.

1. No restrictions in number of visitors.

2. The entry passes are available from 9.45 AM to 3.45 PM only.

3. Virtual Audio Tour Guide is available in KANNADA, HINDI and ENGLISH version which can be  opened using the QR Code at the Entry Pass Counter.

Please Note: Senior Citizens, students above Under Graduation, Post Graduates, PhD, correspondence, CA, Interns in any category, 'Earn while you Learn' categories are not considered for discounts.

School/College ID is mandatory for students. A valid  soft copy of the college ID on the mobile is also allowed.
