Heritage by Night – An Evening Museum Experience

Discover the museum in a whole new light with Heritage by Night, a specially curated self-guided evening tour.

Duration: About 1.5 hours
Timings: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Starting from Saturday, 28th March 2026, the tour will be held on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) through May 2026 (subject to change depending on the monsoon).

Enjoy a peaceful walk through beautifully illuminated spaces and admire the elegance of vernacular architecture after dusk.

Entry Fee:

Adults : 600.00 per head
Children from 8 years to 12 years: 300.00 per head (Please bring IDs)
Free Entry for children up to 7 years.

Tours Offered

We offer different types of tours tailored to the need of our visitors.

Guided Tours

Guided tours are offered on request of the visitors under conditions below:

1. The tours are conducted only for groups, not less than 10 people.

2. The tours are offered in the morning hours only which starts at sharp 10:00 AM.

You are expected to present yourself at the reception 10 minutes before the tour starts. If you do come late, you will end up joining the ongoing tour midway and no going back from where you missed the tour.

3. The tour will be of 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. depending on the visitors in the group(Senior citizens need more time)

4. Electrical vehicle charges are extra which is preferably provided for senior citizens and people with walking difficulties.

5. The Entry Fee per person is Rs. 500.00/- only.

6. No students/senior citizens discounts available in this tour.

7. The Entry Fee for children from 6 to 12 years is Rs. 150/- Only

However the children up to 5 years are allowed free entry.

Unguided Tours

This tour is presently offered by default.

1. No restrictions in number of visitors.

2. The entry passes are available from 9.45 AM to 3.45 PM only.

3. Virtual Tour Guide is available in KANNADA and ENGLISH version which can be downloaded from the Downloads Menu or by scanning the QR Code which is available next to the Entry Pass Counter.

4. The entry fee for this tour is:

>. Adults : 300.00/- per head

>. Students and children above **12 years: 150.00/- per head

Please Note: Senior Citizens, Post Graduates, PhD, correspondence, 'Earn while you Learn' categories are not considered for discounts. School/College ID is mandatory for students.

>. Children above 5 years till **12 years : 50/- per head

**Not applicable for School Excursions

Students have to show their valid college ID to avail discounts. Soft copy on the cellphone is also valid.
