Frequently Asked Questions

No. The museum is run by a private not-for-profit charitable trust and there is an entry fee to view the museum. 
Your contribution will go for the development and upkeep of the museum and the vernacular structures restored inside.

The entry fee for adults is INR. 300.00 only, INR. 150.00 for students and Senior Citizens. Valid photo ID is needed to avail discounts. 
Children below 11 years are allowed FREE of cost.
Please Note: No special entry fee for overseas visitors and is same to all. 

The normal working days and hours of the museum are:
Open On: Tuesdays to Sundays. Monday is a weekly off
Timings: Morning 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No entry after 3:45 PM. The counter will be closed after that. As one needs at least 1 1/2 hours to see the entire museum, the gates will be closed thereafter.
Any holidays or changes in the working hours or days will be announced well in advance on our website and social media platforms i.e. Facebook and Instagram.

Sorry! There are no restaurants or eateries inside the site.
Food, soft drinks or any other eatables are strictly not allowed inside the museum.

Sorry! pets are strictly not allowed inside. As its a public place other visitors may be put to inconvenience.

There are concessions for groups only if the total numbers are more than 50. However concessional tours are available for school/college excursions and students with an official letter from the institution, school/college and/or valid ID issued by the school/college authority.
All the rights are reserved and solely left to the discretion of the management of Hasta Shilpa Trust, Manipal as far as concession to other groups are concerned and can't be claimed as a right.
